Last updated March 24, 2026

Introduction

We know that sharing your personal information with us is based on trust. We take this seriously and are committed to ensuring that we respect your privacy when you visit our website or use our services. Please review this privacy policy (the "Policy") carefully to learn about our privacy practices.

We operate an insurance shopping marketplace whereby consumers can be matched to and connected with dozens of insurance carriers to source competing quotes based on their stated profiles and insurance needs. In this Policy, these are collectively referred to as our Services.

Our Services are owned and operated by Cognius, Inc. By visiting our website (the "Site"), whether on a computer, phone, tablet or similar device (each, a "Device"), you are accepting the privacy practices described below.

Personal Information Collection, Usage, and Disclosure

Depending on your use of the Site and how you interact with us while using the Services, we may collect personal information from or about you in multiple ways, including: (1) automatically when you visit the Site; (2) directly from you; and/or (3) from third parties.

How We Collect Personal Information

Personal information collected automatically

We follow a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they arrive at the Site, as well as information collected during the visit. The information collected in log files includes:

  • Internet protocol (IP) addresses;
  • The location of your Device;
  • Device, operating system, and browser type information;
  • Internet Service Provider (ISP);
  • Date and time stamp;
  • Referring/exit pages; and
  • The number and location(s) of interactions with the Site.

Like many other websites, our Site employs "cookies," which are used to store information such as a visitor's preferences and the pages on the Site which the visitor accessed. That information is used to optimize the visitor's experience, based on the visitor's browser type and/or other information.

We use third-party recording technologies to keep track of visits to our Site. Scripts from these technologies are embedded on our Site and collect information when a visitor interacts with any of the pages on which they are present. The information collected may include page URL, mouse movements and clicks, information the visitor inputs, snapshots of the pages visited, the length of time spent on a page, when various interactions with a page occurred, and HTTP headers from the visitor's browser. By visiting our Site or using our Services, you acknowledge and agree to our use of such recording technologies and the collection, maintenance, and use of the information they collect.

Personal information you provide to us

When you visit and interact with the Site, we collect the personal information that you provide to us. This information is collected when you fill out a form on the Site or contact us directly. Some examples of visitor-provided information that we may collect include, but are not limited to:

  • Additional protected classifications such as citizenship status and military status;
  • Location information such as zip code;
  • Contact information such as phone number and email address; and
  • Information for the Services you are interested in. For example, if you are interested in auto insurance, we may collect information about you and your vehicles that will help us to match you with the right provider.

Personal information collected from third parties

We may obtain information about you from third parties. For example, our business partners may give us certain information about you, such as your contact, demographic and other personal information. Those partners may include insurance providers, credit reporting agencies and other data companies. Social media platforms may also give us information about you.

How We Use Personal Information

We may use the personal information we obtain through any of the above methods for the following purposes:

  • Providing products and services to you. The data we collect from you may be used to match you to a product or service that best fits your needs.

  • Marketing purposes. For example, we may collect and use personal information so that we can provide you with special offers and/or advertisements about insurance and other products and services. This use may constitute "Targeted Advertising" under certain state laws.
  • Personalizing our Services to best fit what you are looking for.
  • Internet advertising to serve you ads for the Site on other services across your Device.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may share the personal information we obtain with the following categories of recipients:

  • Requested third-party partners. We may share your personal information with third-party partners in order to provide a product or service when requested or directed to by you. For example, we may send your personal information to an auto insurance provider which we determine could be a good match for your needs. Note that such third parties' collection, use and disclosure of personal information may be described in their own privacy policies, notices and statements, which may differ in certain respects from this Policy.

We may disclose or otherwise transfer your personal information to an acquirer, successor, or assignee as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, as well as in the event of any insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets.

Data Retention

We keep personal information as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy (such as to address our legal obligations). In determining which personal information to retain or dispose of, we take into account the type, sensitivity, and context of such information, and the purpose(s) for which it was collected.

Data Security

We employ reasonable safeguards intended to protect personal information from unauthorized loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. We also strive to ensure that third parties who work with us agree to protect any personal information which we disclose to them or they process on our behalf.

Of course, no safeguards can guarantee absolute security. Accordingly, we encourage you to take precautions when providing personal information to us or others online. If you believe that any personal information related to you has been compromised in connection with your use of the Site or our Services, please contact us immediately as detailed in the "Contact Us" section below.

Children's Information

Our priorities include helping to protect children while they are using the Internet. To that end, we encourage parents and guardians to monitor, participate in, and/or guide their children's online activities. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from or regarding minor children. If you have reason to believe that a child for whom you are responsible has provided any such information on or through our Site, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately so that we can take steps to promptly remove that information from our records.

You can also access, update, and remove your information by visiting any profile or account page you have set up on our Site.
